In order to participate in the Rainbow Recorder Project, you will need to have access to your student Quaver Music Account. I will assign songs for each level. Upon completion of the level you will be rewarded with a ribbon. Ultimately, you want to achieve the highest status which be completing all colors of the rainbow (Red-Orange-Yellow-Green-Blue-Indigo-Violet). Those who pass all required levels will be given the opportunity to do the ALL STAR level and will be rewarded with a GOLD RIBBON!
You will receive a WHITE ribbon for your completion of the WEEK ONE practice songs (“AAA” and “Walk Like a Mummy”) and the WEEK TWO practice song (“Glue Blues”).
When logging in to your Quaver Account, click on your STUDENT TAB and go to your assignments to find your songs. It will look like this:
To earn a ribbon for a song, you must score at least 10 points on your performance. The rubric is posted in the classroom. Ribbon colors are assigned as follows:
All four of the GOLD songs must be completed to receive the GOLD ribbon!!!
REMEMBER – you have several weeks to complete this. Do not try to work too fast. You will feel more confident and accomplished if you take your time and master each song. Any work that you do outside of class will certainly help you earn ribbons in a more timely manner.
